About the Event:

In this one-hour, highly interactive online event, we will take a fresh look at resilience. We’ll map out a new framework that will get you thinking about bouncing back from setbacks in a new, positive, and hopeful way. Instead of a tool for closing a deficit gap, we see it as a platform to create an abundance gap – an abundance of possibilities that can be discovered through our concrete and practical resilience model.

Expect a combination of mini-presentations (no slides, though), engaging exercises, and small group discussions.

You’ll emerge with a clear understanding of our new pragmatic and positive resilience framework.

This workshop is based on the highly-rated resilience program developed for the hard-hit ski resort industry.

Support a Great Cause:

Proceeds from this event support the Olivia Buchanan Avalanche Education Fund. The Buchanan family created a fund in their daughter’s memory to provide snow science students at Montana State University the opportunity to pursue the work about which Olivia was so passionate: learning how people assess risk in the backcountry, teaching them how to make safer decisions and ultimately saving lives. Your Host:

Paul Thallner is an organizational development, team effectiveness, and resilience expert. He founded advisory firm High Peaks Group to eradicate the chronic workplace stress pandemic. High Peaks Group now creates workplace greatness in business, non-profit, and government clients across the United States. Paul has served in a number of senior-level roles including as a partner at Great Place to Work, where he advised organizations including the NBA and Carhartt. Paul co-developed a novel resilience model first tested with 200 mountain resort leaders in North America. The positive reception has led to further research and a forthcoming book that asserts we have been thinking of resilience backwards, and it’s time to reinvent resilience so we can grow through challenges.
