Bringing Your Whole Self Home
The coronavirus crisis is challenging our sense of self. Some of us are busier than ever as our work continues, others are now without a job and wrestling with what it means to be labeled “non-essential.” Most of us are struggling with the challenge of “sheltering in place,” where our homes can feel more confining than sheltering. Stress, fear and despair vie with hope and newfound appreciation for our connections to nature, family, friends, and colleagues. In effect, we’re navigating the complexities of defining who we are as people and professionals amid the pandemic.
If you’d like to explore these topics with fellow seekers, then this online conversation is for you. Join us as we work out new definitions of “bringing our whole selves to work”–or rather, bringing our whole selves home–and what this global moment might mean for our future as individuals and members of organizations. You may not come away with clear answers. But you won’t be alone in pursuing them.
Participants will:
- Be invited to share how they are defining or redefining themselves during the pandemic
- Break into small groups to discuss ways our identities are being challenged these days, and ways our sense of purpose may be evolving
- Learn about the growing importance of wholism to our well-being and the well-being of our organizations
